Monte Lua is an AI-powered visual novel: an ongoing, illustrated story set in Sintra, Portugal, that is written as you play. Rather than following a fixed script, the game generates each scene — the writing, the artwork and the characters’ responses — in reaction to what you type and choose, so no two playthroughs are the same. It is played in the browser and requires JavaScript.
Monte Lua is written for an adult audience, and every character in it is a fictional adult.
What is sold
Playing generates text and images, which costs us money per scene, so the game runs on credits. New accounts get a free starting balance. Beyond that, credits are sold in one-time packs from $4.99 for 500 credits to $49.99 for 6,500 credits. There is no subscription and nothing recurring: each purchase is a one-off, and credits do not expire. Prices are in US dollars; tax may apply depending on where you are. Full pricing is at montelua.ai/credits.
Who operates it
Monte Lua is made and operated by Luís Pedro Soares Marnoto Gaspar Lopes, independently. Reach him at [email protected].
