Is YouTube interpreting 五毛 as hate speech?!?!?! What the heck???
It appears the Romanized version "wumao" is not being censored. So YouTube is okay with English-speakers using this word, but is protecting the sensitivities of.... mainland Chinese people.... who can't access YouTube.
I can confirm that "五毛 are good." also gets censored.
When I go to a cooking recipe video instead of a China politics one, and comment "I love recipes so much! Cooking is fun! I like all of these recipes! 五毛" it is deleted. This is straight-up just a word censor.
