चीन की पुरस्कृत कहानियां के इस प्रथम खण्ड में सात कहानियां संकलित हैं। इन कहानियों के रचनाकार चीन लोक गणराज्य के सामाजिक जीवन के विभिन्न अंगों से घनिष्ठ रूप से जुड़े रहे हैं। यही कारण है कि कहानियों की अन्तर्वस्तु की विविधता के साथ सामाजिक परिवेश भली-भांति प्रतिबिम्बित होता है।

श्रम-शिक्षा और चरित्र-निर्माण (Education Of Labour And The Upbringing In Hindi) by नदेज्दा क्रूप्स्काया (N. K. Krupskaya)

भूमिका : म० न० स्कात्किन नदेज्दा कोन्स्तान्तीनोव्ना क्रूप्स्काया सोवियत शिक्षा- पद्धति के प्रवर्तकों में एक थीं। व्यापकतम ज्ञान की धनी और सुशिक्षित मार्क्सवादी शिक्षाशास्त्री क्रूप्स्काया ने अनेक वर्षों तक जनशिक्षा के प्रश्नों पर कार्य किया। लेनिन से निरंतर सलाह-मशविरा करते हुए उन्होंने समाजवादी स्कूली शिक्षा के कार्यभार निरूपित किये। शिक्षा के जीवन के साथ संबंध को, उत्पादक श्रम में छात्रों की शिरकत वह विशेषतः महत्वपूर्ण मानती थीं।

इतने वर्षों पश्चात भी क्रूप्स्काया की रचनाएं सोवियत शिक्षाशास्त्र की एक आधारशिला बनी हुई हैं। सोवियत सत्ता के पहले दशकों में कूप्स्काया द्वारा व्यक्त शिक्षा संबंधी विचार समय की कसौटी पर खरे उतरे हैं, इनकी कारगरता सिद्ध हुई है।

टॉल्सटॉय की प्रतिनिधि रचनाओं को तीन भागों में प्रकाशित किया जा रहा है। पहले भाग में उनकी पुस्तकें – धर्म और सदाचार, जीवन-साधना, सामाजिक कुरीतियाँ तथा स्त्री और पुरुष, दूसरे भाग में- हम करें क्या, बुराई कैसे मिटे, हमारे जमाने की गुलामी और मेरी मुक्ति की कहानी तथा तीसरे भाग में- ईसा की सिखावन, कितनी जमीन, प्रेम में भगवान, बालकों का विवेक, कलवार की करतूत और अँधेरे में उजाला संकलित की गई हैं।

इन रचनाओं के माध्यम से जो लेखक के उदात्त विचार सामने आते हैं वे आज भी हर व्यक्ति के लिए प्रेरक और ग्राह्य हैं। आशा है ड़ॉ. पालीवाल के संपादन में ये पुस्तकें पाठकों के लिए संग्रहणीय सिद्ध होंगी।
