The Accountant 2 | Official Trailer 2

The Accountant 2's trailer reveals a surprising tonal shift from the original, transforming from a taut action thriller into a more lighthearted buddy action-comedy. The sequel focuses on the brotherly relationship between Ben Affleck's Christian and Jon Bernthal's Braxton, featuring them engaging in action sequences alongside moments of comedic bonding. While maintaining the action elements that made the first film successful, this installment appears to explore the siblings' personal growth and relationship as they make up for lost time. The trailer showcases strong chemistry between Affleck and Bernthal, with memorable moments like Braxton's excitement over Christian getting a phone number and their adventures at what appears to be a hoedown. Fans are particularly enthusiastic about this fresh direction, appreciating how the sequel builds upon the original while exploring new territory.

I like the more lighthearted tone because now Christian is trying to be more social and Braxton is showing him how to interact with people and do new things he never experienced due to always training as a kid like dating, dancing, bars, etc

It’s pretty much Autistic Older Brother and ADHD Young Brother and I’m here for this XD

@dimidenkoserge

I honestly would preferred that the tone stayed the same as the first. Nowadays almost every movie is an action comedy.

The Accountant is one of the most underrated movies of all time. I could watch it over and over again.

dang, i didn't realize this was going to be a comedy this time. now i'm not nearly as excited.

@Jean-k4g

This is how a sequel should be! Expanding on the original ideas. I am so excited for this.

@helpfuluser8706

why does Ben Afflacks voice sound so weird in this movie? like a robot. Not at all like the first movie.

My younger brother has Aspergers. When the first movie came out, we loved it because Ben was able to nail down little mannerisms that made us fall in love with the movie. As the older brother who’s admittedly self centered and likes to just get things done, this movie is like a mirror into another universe. Whoever’s idea this was, thank you. My brother and I are looking forward to laughing and pointing at each other the entire time

Ok maybe it's just being me but Affleck whole tone of voice changed and it sounds forced which I get is kinda the point but he no longer sounds authentic like he did in the first one 😢
