This dream was set in the Die Hard Cinematic Universe, evidently, although everything since Die Hard With A Vengeance can be thrown out, for two reasons: first. I have never seen a Die Hard after that one, and second, this was starring a younger Bruce Willis (frankly Die Hard Two age at the most, but OK we’ll let that slide)
The dream was split in two parts and I’m not sure why there was a connection to them, in fact I don’t think there was, it was just that my dreaming mind decided to make a connection based on the need for a metaphor and a bad guy at one point.
This dream was very poorly structured, perhaps because it was near my wake up time, or maybe they are always poorly structured but I remember these problems better. Normally I wouldn’t mention this dream but the subject — John McClane arrested by ICE, escapes, America supports John McClane but the bad government types want to capture and or kill him to make an “example”, is sort of interesting, and the way it connects to the earlier dream is also interesting.
So we join the dream media res, although I’m sure some things happened before, because John McClane is in custody of ICE in a building with lots of ICE agents taking various brown people around, McClane, as the white protagonist, is evidently better handled by ICE (another of those is My Dreaming Mind racist dreams, or just reflective of reality?)
