We’re all sad to say goodbye to Sunrise, so it’s time to find your new calendar app.
The requirements are simple. It just needs the following:
- Native mobile apps for iOS and Android
- Desktop apps for Mac, Windows, and web
- A simple, intuitive interface
- Ability to pull event data from Facebook (incl. RSVPing), Eventbrite, Foursquare, Tripit, Meetup, Trello, Asana, Github, Basecamp, Wunderlist, Google Tasks, Todoist, Evernote, Linkedin, Songkick, etc
- Manage multiple Google, Outlook/Office 365, and iCloud calendars
- Making it super quick and easy to schedule meetings without endless email ping pong (similar to Sunrise Meet)
The bad news is that the only calendar app that comes anywhere close to that was acquired by Microsoft and is being shut down in a week.
The good news is…
Who am I kidding? There’s currently no realistic alternative to Sunrise. Nothing else comes close. We’re all fucked.
