SaaS Content Strategy for X and Threads

X

To get views on X you need to build trust by building up the account first using frequent replies and less frequent posts.

To do this follow and turn on notifications for 15 accounts in the niche and then when they post reply quickly to them to build reputation.

The replies should add value to the original tweet, not just “🙏🙏🙏” or low content.
After X recognizes you are not a bot, but a valuable contributor then you can actually start focusing on posts (but still reply if you have the time) as your posts will start getting pushed out then.

The types of posts you should do changes depending on niche but look at the high performing content in the area you want to post and take elements from it (don’t just blatantly copy them).

A tip for X is to delete the random bots following you as this lowers credibility, delete low performing posts after 24 hours (<5 engagements), do the reply strategy for 30 days and if its not working and you are still getting zero views you are doing something wrong.

Threads

Threads works slightly differently as it pushes small accounts more, but only if you have insightful posts and actually post in the right communities for your account.

Join at least 3 communities in your niche and spend at least 15 minutes daily (preferably more) giving long and interesting replies to the top posts.

If you do this correctly then you can aim for the “Community Champion” badge which instantly improves credibility in a niche and gets you good views for your niche specific posts.

Threads thrive on content hooks like: controversy (same as X) — “Your productivity app is lying to you. Motivation is temporary, and discipline is a system. Agree or disagree?”, ask-and-reply — “What’s the one productivity ‘hack’ that actually made you more stressed? For me, it was the infinite task list.” or the bridge hook which are just the same as threads on X (a long chain of replies giving valuable information).

Summary

To summarise, for X you need to build reputation first by replying to large creators and then posting yourself later when you gain enough credibility by the algorithm. For threads focus on community first, giving long replies and valuable posts and not shouting into the void.
