Being an engineer as well, I have been in the same boat as you. And I had to develop some little tricks to overcome some difficulties that would eventually appear in my job search.

1 | Hiring process length and pathway to a proposal
Inquiry about what are the steps until a final proposal is made. It is important to know because if you were trying to apply to different companies, you would need to conciliate time to prepare and rest for each one. Yes, you need to rest as you don’t want to have interviews 30min, one after another, for a straight week. Believe me — you will not want to.
