I'm pleased to announce that binary packages for OS X based on pkgsrc-2015Q2 are now available. The major changes since 2015Q1 are: - Packages are now installed under the /opt/pkg prefix instead of the previous /usr/pkg. This ensures we are compatible with the "System Integrity Protection" feature introduced in El Capitan / 10.11. - Many package options have been tweaked in order to enable more features by default. - The signed packages support we introduced in 2015Q1 has been extended to HTTPS support from our download site. Simply update your repository URLs to be https://pkgsrc.joyent.com/ and get end to end encryption and verification. - Many package updates and additions from the pkgsrc developers have taken us to nearly 12,000 binary packages. Installation instructions for OS X are here: https://pkgsrc.joyent.com/install-on-osx/ The release announcement for 2015Q2 can be found here: https://mail-index.netbsd.org/pkgsrc-users/2015/07/06/msg021778.html The bulk build reports for this release are here: http://us-east.manta.joyent.com/pkgsrc/public/reports/Darwin/2015Q2/i386/20150709.2343/meta/report.html http://us-east.manta.joyent.com/pkgsrc/public/reports/Darwin/2015Q2/x86_64/20150709.2342/meta/report.html Please report any bugs or feature requests specifically related to this binary package set on our GitHub issues page: https://github.com/joyent/pkgsrc/issues Enjoy! -- Jonathan Perkin - Joyent, Inc. - www.joyent.com
