An open world RPG with fighting, trading and mystical quests in the Kalevala world.
You are Väinämöinen and you start the game at the age of 18. You get older but also more experienced the more you play. There is a lot of quests but your main mission is to find the meaning of life. Finding it needs you to travel through many villages, fortresses, ocean with islands and three lands (Svealand, Finn, Rus). Your age, experience level, transport type and wounds affect your daily travelling distance and combat strenght and defence.
During the game you will do trading in different market locations in order to increase your wealth and to accomplish different tasks. In order to visit foreign lands you have to build a boat and for faster moving and bigger cargo you can acquire a horse and a cart.
You have to keep track of your food sources by hunting, fishing or buying, otherwise you die. In order to enter some regions you need to have certain level of experience and wealth. If you do not fulfill all the tasks given to you by a certain age, you will die without honor. The game is not the easiast of its kind, but with wise planning and tactical saves you may be able to do it and get all the honors.
The game supports Commodore C64 Ultimate, Commodore 77 and other compatible machines and emulators. The CRT version saves on Ultimate Flash.
The downloads include also a CFG file for the C64 Ultimate settings.
