Hello,

I’d like to raise a serious concern, both as a personal user and as someone managing small businesses that rely on Windows systems.

During the setup of Windows 11, I was forced to create a PIN just to proceed, even though my intention was to use the laptop without any kind of login password or authentication at startup. There was no clear option to skip this step.

Later, I tried to remove the PIN and disable login authentication completely, but Windows doesn’t allow it unless I switch to other sign-in methods. This feels like an unnecessary and intrusive limitation, especially for users who want full control over their own systems.

This makes me seriously question:

• Why am I not allowed to manage my device the way I want to?
• Is it even legal for Microsoft to force such restrictions without offering a clear opt-out?

To be honest, Windows is starting to feel increasingly controlling, not only in personal use but also in how it affects my businesses. I’m even considering leaving Windows entirely and moving to an open system (like Linux) that gives me freedom and doesn’t force login methods or track every move I make.

So my question is:

Is there any official and secure way to completely remove the PIN and all login requirements on Windows 11?

Any clarification from Microsoft or the community would be greatly appreciated.
