A short walking simulator that runs in the browser, set in a photorealistic environment of an old barn that's rendered as a gaussian splat.
Follow the narrator's voice as she reminisces about growing up, sharing with you her thoughts and musings on life through vivid imagery of feelings and impressions.
Originally crafted as an experience in Unreal Engine 5 with a build size of over 6 GB, you can now play this walking simulator directly in your browser with a streamed download size of around 100 MB (+20 MB of music and VO), thanks to the power of gaussian splatting. The photorealistic environment was rendered out of UE with 2400 cameras, covering the entire scene. The resulting images were then used to train the gaussian splat that you can see now directly in your browser.
Performance should auto-adjust based on your hardware, with fewer splats being rendered on weaker devices.
Should also be playable on mobile, but entering full-screen on iPhone devices is not possible.
