HRV Sync is designed with your privacy in mind. Here's how we handle your data:
Data Collection
HRV Sync does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. All data processing happens locally on your device.
Garmin Account
The app connects directly to your Garmin account to fetch your HRV data. Your login credentials are stored securely in your device's Keychain and are never shared with third parties.
Health App
HRV data is written to the Health app on your device. This data stays on your device and is managed according to Apple's privacy policies.
No Analytics or Tracking
HRV Sync does not include any analytics, advertising, or tracking frameworks.
Data Storage
- Authentication tokens: Stored in iOS Keychain (encrypted)
- HRV data: Stored only in the Health app
- No cloud storage or external databases

Common Issues:
- Login problems: Make sure you're using your Garmin account credentials (the same ones you use for Garmin Connect).
- No HRV data: HRV data is only available if your Garmin device records it during sleep. Not all Garmin devices support HRV tracking.
- Health permissions: Go to Settings → Health → Data Access → HRV Sync to enable permissions.
