hob is a workspace
your agents can operate.

The agents themselves are users of the workspace. They shape it around each task, coordinate through it, and guide you inside it.

Add command search. Split the interface and indexing work.

I’ll handle the command palette here, then hand off workspace indexing.

You keep the record.

From the issue to the shipped change, you review each step the agent takes. Issues, diffs, terminals, and automations sit in the same workspace, and every change links back to its conversation.

In practice

The agent works in view, and the work goes both ways.

Agents on web pages

  • An agent uses a real page while you watch.
  • It hands you the sign-in, then carries on.
  • Click in the page to take over.

Agents show you the work

  • Agents open what you need to see.
  • They point at the detail and annotate it.
  • They hand back the decision.

Mark up for your agent

  • Mark up a page, PDF, image, or file.
  • Send the markup with your request.
  • Steer a running agent without starting over.

Agents work with each other

  • Agents message each other, with receipts.
  • One agent hands part of a task to another.
  • Every supported backend, side by side.

Any work, not only code

  • Web pages, documents, PDFs, and code in one workspace.
  • Agents build reports and pages you can open beside the work.
  • Spreadsheets in beta.

Automations

  • Save useful steps: commands, agents, and web pages.
  • Every run follows the same steps and keeps a record.
  • Secrets are encrypted and kept out of agent prompts.
  • Auto-start what should stay running.

Pull requests

  • Open, comment on, and close PRs.
  • The diff, the conversation, and the change in one place.
  • Run hob pr from an agent, or by hand.

Remote access

  • The full workspace from another desktop or a browser.
  • hob mobile on iOS, with Android in beta.
  • Encrypted relay, no public ports.

Worktrees

  • Give agents separate worktrees when their tasks need isolation.
  • Your main tree stays clean, and parallel edits stay out of each other's way.
  • Keep the branch when the work lands. Throw the worktree away when it doesn't.

Remote issues

  • Manage GitHub, Gitea, Forgejo, and Linear issues without leaving hob.
  • Hand any issue to an agent to fix.
  • Agent-made issues link to their chat.
“hob is the most useful thing I pay for right now. With how fast agentic coding changes, staying current used to be a pain. Now I can pick up whatever ships this week and my workflow stays organized and predictable.”

“I used to run 6+ Claude Code instances in my terminal, and coming back to them was a nightmare. Now I can shut my laptop and free up the RAM in my head. Every workspace is right where I left it, ready to resume.”
