Kobo has just issued a flurry of software updates for the vast majority of its e-readers. Intsapaper is now available and replaces Mozilla Pocket, which has been discontinued. The update 4.43.23418 is for their newer devices, and 4.38.23429 for everything else.
Kobo initially announced that it would include Instapper on its e-readers a month ago, with a launch planned for the end of summer 2025. This partnership will allow Kobo users to save web articles from anywhere and seamlessly read them on their devices, providing a distraction-free reading experience for long-form content. Former Pocket users can import their saved articles into Instapaper to continue their reading on Kobo devices.
Instapaper offers a series of browser extensions, allowing you to send web articles to your Kobo and read them like an e-book. You can view your article on your e-reader by clicking on More > Articles to get started. If you want to move your Pocket articles to Instapaper, be sure to export your Pocket data from getpocket.com/export before October 8, 2025. Once you have an Instapaper account, visit instapaper.com/user to import it.
