Today we define the ADK-Rust roadmap toward becoming the best Rust-native platform for building, orchestrating, and deploying production AI agents across cloud, edge, enterprise, and emerging spatial and embodied environments.
To achieve this reality, we must envision the future of AI Agents.
We believe in one single belief: AGI is simply intelligent orchestration.
We believe the future of advanced AI systems is not a single monolithic model or agent framework. It is intelligent orchestration:
- specialist capabilities working together,
- strong runtime foundations,
- secure deployment,
- transparent control planes,
- and adaptive execution across different environments.
That is the direction we are building toward with ADK-Rust.
By the end of 2026, an AI Agent made by ADK-Rust all have the following, provided in a modular and flexible way for your individual use case:
- Native agentic capabilities covering full 2-D and 3-D vision, native full audio capabilities, software as tools, and feature parity with leading AI Agent frameworks as a continuously improved and core part of the framework.
- Autonomous mode and feature parity with open claw and other similar technologies.
- Secure internally and externally on all its surfaces for enterprises.
- Fully transparent Control Plane using the latest "nervous system" technology architecture.
- Physical capabilities
- Mature developer tools and capabilites.
By Q1 2026 we plan for 2 main things:
- Super agents - free and open source autonomous agents that do vertically integrated tasks very well and showcase the power of ADK-Rust. These agents should demonstrate:
- multi-agent coordination
- tool use
- memory and persistence
- production deployment patterns
- clear business value
- Enterprise platform - open source AI Agent platform for deploying AI Agents that generate revenue, reduce costs and operate securely in production environments.
This includes:
- deployment workflows
- observability and full agent transparency
- scaling
- secure configuration
- rollback and release management
- support for real-world enterprise integration patterns
By Q2 2026 we plan for 3 main things (experimental):
- First fully autonomous robot (or robotic software) powered by ADK-Rust.
- Automation of 3D world environments via Unreal Engine and similar tools and world models.
- Mega Agent - A first of a kind AI Agent that showcases all the native capabilities of ADK-Rust. It is meant to prove what the framework can do when its core capabilities work together well.
By Q3 2026 we plan for one thing

By Q4 2026 we plan for the last and most audacious target
Deployment platform with optional spatial UI and UX and consolidation of capabilities. - we introduce Spatial OS - an experimental self contained secure deployment platform built for super agents. We envision interaction interfaces will change by end of 2026 and we plan to be at the forefront of this development.
These targets should enable audacious use cases, with its core promise of high performance AI Agents
- AI Agents embedded and securely orchestrated in your server, PC, phone, home, car, TV and any device - with self awareness of capabilities depending on the install surface
- Hardware interfaces such as Holographic user interfaces
- Physical world use cases via Robotics
What success looks like for ADK-Rust:
We believe this roadmap will make ADK-Rust the most competitive AI Agent framework in the world by Dec 31 2026. By the end of the year, we want ADK-Rust to be recognised as one of the most competitive and ambitious agent platforms in the world for developers who care about:
- performance
- orchestration
- deployment
- production readiness
- and the future convergence of software agents, spatial systems, and embodied AI
Even if we achieve only part of this roadmap, we believe the framework can still become one of the most advanced and interesting open platforms in the AI agent ecosystem.
We believe if we only achieve 60% of our target, the framework will still be the worlds most advanced AI Agent framework.
