Superphenix is an open-source platform to build your own cloud (IaaS, PaaS and SaaS) on the hardware you already own. Kubernetes runs the control plane; virtual machines, storage, networking and managed services run as first-class workloads on top.
Traditional virtualization is buckling under licensing problems, vendor lock-in and increasing costs. Superphenix is the modern, open alternative.
- Sovereign by default: Superphenix is deployed on your hardware, with full control over your data.
- Full-stack, one platform: Compute, storage, network, PaaS and SaaS, designed to work together.
- GitOps-native: Every cluster, tenant and VM can be declared as code, auditable end to end.
- Built for resilience: Multi-AZ and multi-region, with cross-site replication and disaster recovery.
- A foundation on which to build: Superphenix can be used to build a public or private cloud, and it has already been proved in production.
What's in the box
| Layer | Capabilities |
|---|---|
| Hypervisor | VMs with live migration, snapshots and node autoscaling |
| Storage | Block, file and S3-compatible storage with replication and disaster recovery |
| Networking | VPCs, NAT gateways, BGP, load balancers, QoS and security groups |
| PaaS | Kubernetes as a Service for tenant clusters |
| SaaS | Ready-to-run services (soon) |
| Console | Multi-tenant web UI spanning every AZ and region |
| Lifecycle | GitOps-driven install, upgrade and resource provisioning |
Built for any scale
- Cloud Service Providers building public clouds across multiple datacenters and regions.
- MSPs and enterprises running a sovereign private cloud in their datacenter.
- Labs and homelabs evaluating the platform or hosting a real mini private cloud on a single rack.
If your goal is independence and total control over your infrastructure, Superphenix is built for you.
