| #SKYPE SECURITY VULNERABILITY | |
| After this has happened to me I did a little reading on the internet and it seems like Skype has had security problems for a long time now. | |

| I would like to make a few points. | |
| 1. More people should know about this. | |
| 2. To make sure I am making myself clear - Skype has a problem! People were sending spam messages from my account even after I did the following. | |
| a ) changed my password several times | |
| b ) uninstalled / reinstalled Skype on all of my devices | |
| Messages were being sent even when I was logged out from Skype and there weren’t any applications in my third party list in Skype itself indicating that even if I did have a virus on my computer it was using a security hole in the Skype client. If you read the forums it suggests there is a deeper issue with the Skype servers probably having to do with linking the accounts with Microsoft. | |
| 3. Skype should be doing a better job at being more transparent about this problem. It has been a serious cause of stress for myself. | |
| Now that I am thinking about chat alternatives and also after reading this - | |
