Despite dealing with a disability that was caused by medical malpractice, a World of Warcraft player completed an entire elite PVP set after nine years of attempts. The World of Warcraft player shared their triumph on social media, describing the cause of their disability and how they worked around it to get the PVP cosmetic set after several years.

Along with dungeons and raids, World of Warcraft's PVP scene continues to evolve with each major update and expansion. Between the addition of classes, specializations, and hero talents, changes to PVP have been plentiful in both the Dragonflight and The War Within expansions. With the arrival of Patch 11.0, World of Warcraft launched the Deephaul Ravine battleground, the first new PVP instance in over six years, following Battle For Azeroth's Seething Shore battleground. Deephaul Ravine combined the popular Capture the Flag and Payload modes into a chaotic 10-vs-10 map for players to experience in both Quick Match and Rated Battleground modes.

World of Warcraft Announces Legion Remix

At PAX East, World of Warcraft confirms Legion Remix is coming, bringing crazy powers and brand-new features to the iconic, fan-favorite expansion.

Although climbing the PVP rankings in World of Warcraft is a formidable challenge, one player overcame the odds and claimed a prize nine years in the making. On the r/wow subreddit, a Costa Rican World of Warcraft player named milotic03 shared a picture of an Elite PVP cosmetic ensemble for Druids, which is only obtainable after achieving the rank of Rival 1 during a given Season. With Seasons only lasting a few months on average in World of Warcraft, Elite Gladiator sets are a rare commodity. The accomplishment by milotic03 was all the more remarkable, since they disclosed they play with a disability that emerged due to medical malpractice in 2016. In short, the OP stated they experience tremors in their hands, which prohibit them from using more than one finger independently at a time on each hand.

World of Warcraft Player Accomplishes Elite PVP Transmog Goal After Nine Years

For the past nine years, milotic03's goal has been to earn an Elite PVP set via Rated Battlegrounds. The specialization that they used to accomplish their goal is a Guardian Druid, which is known for its versatility and high health pool. The Guardian Druid can use abilities like Stampeding Roar to increase movement speed, and can break crowd control effects via Shapeshifting. In response, several World of Warcraft players congratulated milotic03 on achieving their goal and felt inspired to do the same.

In World of Warcraft's upcoming 11.1.7 update, an optional feature called the Rotation Assistant will allow players to use their core abilities by pressing a single button at the cost of an increased global cooldown. It remains to be seen whether Rotation Assistant will benefit players like Milotic03 and others who play with a disability.
