๐Ÿšง This Is Just the Beginning

Weโ€™re not launching a product โ€” weโ€™re starting a movement.

The Fair Play Collective is in its earliest days, and weโ€™re inviting creators, collaborators, and believers in fair, sustainable game development to help shape it from the ground up.

Whether you're a developer, backer, or just curious โ€” you're here at the start.

Letโ€™s build it right.

๐Ÿงญ Mission

We believe great games are made by people โ€” not publishers.

The Fair Play Collective is a community-funded initiative supporting small studios with the time, funding, and freedom to make bold games on their terms. No layoffs, no crunch, no corporate compromise.

๐Ÿ“œ Manifesto

Our manifesto outlines what we stand for โ€” from how we support studios to the values that shape our community.

๐ŸŽฎ What Backers Get

During our early phase (before releases):

  • โœ… Founding Member credit in every funded game
  • โœ… 40% off MSRP for all games while subscribed
  • โœ… One free rotating game/month once the library begins
  • โœ… Monthly dev diaries and studio updates
  • โœ… BTS access to the creative process
  • โœ… Early invitations to shape policies & structure
Early backers donโ€™t just fund games โ€” they shape the future of fair development.

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ Where We Are Now

Weโ€™re in the early days of building something radical โ€” and weโ€™re doing it out in the open.

  • โœ๏ธ Finalizing our studio funding model
  • ๐Ÿง  Drafting creative ethics & transparency guidelines
  • ๐Ÿค Talking to developers, producers & allies
  • ๐ŸŒฑ Preparing for soft-launch of supporter signup

๐Ÿง  Creative Ethics & AI Policy

While I (Dylan) am using AI to help with administrative tasks like outlining or formatting (like this FAQ), creative work must come from real humans, with real credit and real pay, this includes everything else as soon as we get more humans involved with the project.

But we stand firmly against its use in the creative work we support.

Our current policy:

  • No AI-generated art, music, sound, writing, or design
  • AI-assisted code is permitted
  • We will review any ethical AI proposals case-by-case, especially if they support work-life balance without replacing human labor

AI should never steal. It should never replace. It might help โ€” but only where it serves creators, not platforms.
