Drag sounds onto slots, or select them and press “Add to cartridge”. Drag slots to reorder. Slot names are the 10-character names stored in the sysex.
DreamDexed doesn't take bank dumps over MIDI yet; copy the .syx to sysex/voice/ on its SD card instead.

🔊 or P plays a sound in Dexed in this browser
The browser preview is the Dexed engine running on this computer, so it works without a synth. With no MIDI out chosen, Audition on move uses it too.

How alike
Sounds whose settings differ only slightly. Play them, tick the ones to keep and press Apply:
unticked sounds are suppressed – kept in the database but never listed. Keeping more than one remembers them as
different sounds. The suggested keeper (first, ticked) is from the most trusted source. The biggest groups come first.
Random sound
Every setting is random. Anything goes; it's only made sure that something sounds.

Variations of
0
Small changes to the sound, nudged towards what its category's sounds do; the algorithm stays the same.
Each one still sounds like its category, is as natural as the real sounds there and is new to the library.
Add to cartridge puts it in the cartridge as a draft: it joins the library (made by you) when you save the cartridge. Save to library adds it straight away.
Keys 1 –9 play a variation, 0 the original.
Morph
Slide from sound A to sound B. Levels, envelopes, detune and the LFO blend smoothly. The other settings
can't be halfway, so they switch: B's algorithm takes over at 50% (its operators are matched to A's by what they do), and
each operator's frequency switches at its own point between 30% and 70%, quietest first (the marks on the slider).
Moving the slider loads the blend into the synth and the browser preview, so you can play it; letting go plays a note.
Add to cartridge puts the blend in a free slot as a draft; Save to library adds it straight away.

Make a family
The two sounds in the cartridge are the parents. They have four children; then, generation by generation,
some of the children marry a newly made partner and have children of their own, until the cartridge is full.
Every child inherits its genes from its two parents, is clearly some kind of sound, is as natural as real sounds of
its kind and is new to the library. The sliders shift those rules either way; the middle is what the library's own
sounds suggest.
