I love this. The shadow under the LCD is perfect, the pace is just right, the difficulties seem appropriate. It's quite bizarre to think someone could lie about information that is right in front of us!
For real, though, I didn't remember Arstotzka was this country and that eagle was the symbol, and kept denying people when the symbol popped up, like, "well it doesn't _say_ Arstotzka like the other countries, so it must not be correct." Oh how wrong I is. At least I didn't have to remember birth years or ages or other information.
Shared it on my game page , hope you don't mind.
Wow, love the game! And the design of the faces using LCD tech! AMAZING! Even the instructions! I love it! Great job!
You must make a physical copy. I grew up with the silly Game and Watch and loved them, this is an infinitely binge-able little game.
I really didn't get to play the original
But at least I got to play it before the region block
Fun little game
I'm most impressed by how you were able to replicate the LCD art style where everything is crafted like a puzzle! It's hard to describe, but if you know you know.
I love Papers, Please. It inspired me to make my own game. A spin off of Papers, Please but you are dealing with job interviews. Hi Lucas Pope, if you are seeing this, I just want to thank you for this wonderful medium of art you created. It gives me hope, and inspiration to move on during this job layoffs in game industry.
My first time actually playing papers please, great execution and smart idea with the artstyle. I did forget how SLOW everything felt back then, good thing you remembered. Great project!
If you could manage to manufacture these and sell them for anywhere from $30-$60, you could make millions
Never thought that game about passport control would be so enthralling,i spent couple of hours in this game,5\5
