Is Doodle AI free?
Yes to start. Every new account gets 10 free credits on signup, with no card required.
How much does a doodle cost?
1 credit per image — a multi-image pack costs 1 credit per image it returns. Animations cost 1 credit per second of clip (5–15 seconds). If a generation fails, the credits are refunded automatically.
Do I need a photo?
For most skills, yes — they redraw you from your photo. 2 skills draw from a written description alone, and you can always just chat about the character you want.
Can it animate my doodle?
Yes. 11 animation skills turn a doodle into a 5–15 second clip — either the exact drawing coming to life, or your character starring in a brand-new scene.
Can I buy more credits?
Not yet. Checkout is not open during the current testing phase; extra credits are granted manually rather than sold.
What happens to my photo?
Uploading needs a signed-in account. Your photo, prompt and settings are sent to fal.ai, which renders the image, and the finished doodle is kept in Doodle AI's own storage. fal.ai's privacy practices also apply — the privacy policy has the details.
