.Com domain name registrants have just a few more weeks to renew at today’s prices.

Verisign, the registry for .com domains, will raise prices by 7% on November 1. The new wholesale price will be $10.97, plus ICANN’s 20-cent fee.

If your registrar is charging anything close to that, you can expect a price increase next month. This includes at-cost registrars such as Cloudflare and many low-cost options, such as Porkbun, Unstoppable Domains, NameBright, and Spaceship (which currently sells below cost), as well as GoDaddy’s Domain Discount Club Pro.

Registrants can renew or transfer their existing domains this month to postpone the fee increase.

Domains can be renewed for up to 10 years. Verisign can raise the price an additional 7% each of the next three years, so it might be worth renewing domains for many years.

Many registrars are offering transfer specials this month that are below the current Verisign renewal fee.
