The app provides native look and feel, it is small in memory footprint and storage size, and aims to be fast and reliable.
A lot of thought was put into UI and UX: Discrete has gorgeous landscape mode on iPhone, proper support of iPad multitasking like SlideOver and different size classes. On macOS it provides native UI elements and integration with Control Center and multimedia keys.
At the same time, performance and stability is the other core value for Discrete. No one wants music player crashed while playing their favorite music. No one likes when app restarts after being inactive for a second on pause. That is something I keep close track of.
