Wow! This game is a blast! I don't think I've ever encountered a minesweeper variant before, so this was a real pleasure to play. Now I'm wanting to come up with my own variant haha!
I wanted to change things up so that Mine King can appear on any edge, as opposed to only the corners. It is easier than I expected, open game.js and make the following changes:
Line 795 becomes: if(isEdge(a.tx, a.ty))
Line 1018 becomes: if(!isEdge(a.tx, a.ty)) fail("mine king not on edge");
I’ve played this on desktop and loved it, but it doesn’t load on mobile.
Also, there’s a website using this game, and I doubt it got permission. https://dragonsweeper.org/
I was missing only a single hit on a wall. Still, it was quite satisfying to get to this level of precision when I only recently picked up this game.

I was confused why I didn't get max score. And then I accidentally clicked a wall later on. Nothing tells you they are destructible, haha.
But this is a great game. Would be good to build on it. It would sell decently I'm sure.
what a bunch of nerds....I'm a minesweaper beast, but this game....i suck at it! I managed to clear a bit more than half the board, felt like I've been optimizing prett well my HP, using level up to heal from 0, and getting chunky monster's XP while almost levelling up, to optimize the overflow....yet....you understand something I don't and this makes me furios :D
The best sign of a good puzzle game, when you can see your brain needs a level up!
Really great game! Well done. It's really well tuned and is such a fun puzzle to figure out how to maximize your lives to extract as much xp as possible. Super fun to play over and over!
I had to forcibly delete this from my PC. I stopped working and sleeping, and I'm not joking in the slightest. ʕ >⸟< ʔ
It took me a minute to work out the strategy for this new take on minesweeper. Eventually working out the math and how to best use your limited lives, what the various scrolls and pieces do and how they benefit you (the mine killer scroll is my favorite ʕ ^ᴗ^ ʔ
I originally ended the video without completing a game because I didn't think I could do it, then I kept playing late into the night. After around 80% of the board was completed, I started recording again just in case...
Since then I've won a few times, but still am managing to finish by clearing the board, below is the closest I've gotten. I lost a lot of time playing this and don't regret it in the slightest! Well done Daniel! Can't wait to try your other work!

Yo freaking seizure warning wtf, tons of flashing colors as soon as you click on the play button. You need to change that or at LEAST give a big warning on the page, that could literally give someone a seizure.
Warning would've really Been appreciated indeed, now I'm feeling nauseous and I JUST pressed play...
Really amazing game - minesweeper levels of fun and replayability, but with a spicy twist. This is way more than a retheme.
Dev: FYI I think either your update or an apple update broke your game on safari (which also means it is broken on ios/ipad, like, more than just not having right-click functionality). I *think* based on the graphics that the game hangs when it tries to load assets. OTHER OSX USERS: still runs great on firefox and chrome.
This game is really something. It would be so cool to have a version for mobile, but I imagine that would be a ton of work on your end. FWIW I think people would pay for a quick replayable game like this. This is like the vampire survivors of simple puzzle games.
I found this on pointlesssites.com, and I am obsessed. It was difficult to understand at first, but it has become my go to game when I am stressed.
This was a lot of fun. Took a while to figure out how to play and then took a while to figure out the strategy. I’m on the pathway to actually winning.
I did it.. got my first victory. After far more failures than you might assume in the 18 hours since my earlier post.

I wish I knew more minesweeper heads. This would have killed back in the dorms once upon a time.
I don’t know if something happened recently, but I absolutely can’t load this anymore on mobile, either with Chrome or Safari.
I'm running on a MacBook Pro with Apple Silicon M1 running macOS (Tahoe 26.5.1), and it's stopped working: I'm stuck on the 'run' phase. (It's also happening on my iPad mini (iPadOS 26.5).
It was a few days ago. I don't think it was an upgrade; they each suddenly stopped working.

Feels a bit luck-infused. It reminds me of Pixel Dungeon. It is not bad! I just personally prefer turn-based games that have a clear solution...
You like what you like, that's a fredom we all get to enjoy. But the luck/skill balance is what makes this game so fun for those of us who have been playing since jan 2025. It's like tetris, you can't beat it on skill alone, and you'd have to be the luckiest person in the world to win without knowing the paterns, it's a balance, and I love it
One thing I do is as soon as I get 13 hearts, I kill the dragon take the XP but not the crown, then keep going as long as I can, so even if I don't clear the board, I still get to win. You coulda gotten a badge with this one......
All these runs and it never once occurred to me that I don't *have* to collect the crown right away. Gonna try it again now that I'm slightly less dumb 😂.
Fuckin A right Fam!!!! I've been playing this game almost every day since it came out over 2 years ago, I love that new people keep discovering it and loving it, such a masterpiece.
