📅 Why Does the Archive Stop at 2019?
The Federal Reserve has a 5-year publication policy for the most detailed policy documents:
Documents with 5-year lag:
- FOMC Transcripts - Complete verbatim records of meetings (most detailed)
- Staff Forecasts (Tealbooks/Greenbooks/Bluebooks) - Fed economists' projections and analysis
Why the lag? The Fed argues that real-time publication would:
- Inhibit frank discussion among FOMC members
- Reveal market-sensitive staff forecasts
- Potentially influence market expectations inappropriately
