What are the favorite marketing blogs?
To determine the favorite and effective marketing blogs, it is important to understanding the following–

  • The evolution of marketing over the years (See graphic)
  • Types of Marketing
  • Marketing Processes & Objectives

Marketing has changed over the years, so understanding the above listed variables, will help determine which blogs are best and effective for your marketing.

1.

  • Relationship Marketing
  • Influencer Marketing
  • Cause Marketing
  • Direct Marketing

3.
Marketing Technologies & Strategies –

With significant revenues now coming from ecommerce, streaming and cloud based services, most businesses are now having to automate their marketing activities (with marketing software – a class of software called Martech) in order to be more efficient and to extract better business insights from data analytics generated from marketing activities. As a result, there’s operational need for automation and technology/software based marketing solutions.

For the purpose of this research, we will categorize these marketing blogs based on the following criteria –

  • Size of the marketing blog audience (Audience)
  • Backward looking (review) or forward looking (How to strategies)
  • Marketing process implementation or marketing software solution (Technology)
  • Frequency of content postings
  • Type of marketing blog
  • Number of Facebook Fans & Twitter Followers
