Yo

If you’re like us, we’ve greatly missed the original Yo app so we’re trying to bring it back! Check out our new website and download our free app today: https://yo.im (Yo Instant Messaging).

Version 1.0 of our new Yo zero character instant messaging (or notifications) app is now available on both the Apple AppStore and the Google PlayStore!

As you can see from our initial app design, it closely resembles the simplicity of the original Yo app allowing users to add contacts and send them Yo messages with a single tap.

Yo notifications are context aware meaning the recipient knows what the sender’s Yo means when it’s received such as:

  • I’m thinking of you
  • I’m on my way
  • I’m here

All Yo notifications are secured end-to-end and no messages or timestamps are stored. If your app is not open, you will receive push notifications simply with the sender’s username followed by a Yo. It’s that simple!
