Our recruitment process is pretty straightforward. We want to give you the opportunity to get to know us and decide whether we could offer you the right challenge. At the same time, we would like to evaluate your skills and how well you adhere to our values. So let’s go!

1. Submitting your application – No black hole alert!

After the submission of your application on our career site, we will carefully review it. We do receive a lot of them, so it might take us some time but we are confident to say that you will hear from us within 2 weeks.

Pro tip: Make sure that you include your motivation to join us as well as what you think you can bring to Mollie.

2. Video call – Meet & Greet with our Talent Acquisition team

Looks like your application caught our eye! One of our Talent Acquisition Business Partners will get in touch with you to plan a call. It will be a short phone or video call (about 30–45 minutes) where they will tell you more about Mollie and the position. They will also ask you about your motivation, why you want to join us, your ambitions, and your biggest accomplishments thus far. Last but not least, they will answer any questions you might have. Within a week they will inform you whether you made it to the next round - to the 1st interview!

Pro tip: Read a blog about our values and give some examples of how you embodied them. Also make sure that you take a look at the job description, social media channels like LinkedIn or Instagram, or our blog on interview tips from our Talent Acquisition team before the call.

3. First interview – When things get interesting

Congratulations, you are now about to meet the hiring team! We will schedule a video call for you to meet with the Hiring Manager and/or a couple of team members you will be working with. We will send more information about them in advance so you can prepare. In this round, you will discuss your day-to-day tasks and you will be challenged on some job-related problems and how you would solve them. There will definitely be time for your questions as well.

This round usually takes 1 hour. Our Talent Acquisition team will update you on the outcome within a week.

Pro tip: We are interested in specific examples rather than generic answers. Try to phrase your answers with the initial problem, how exactly did you approach it, and what was the end result. Here’s some useful information that will help you prepare for the interview.

4. Business case a.k.a The Challenge

You have passed the first interview – so far so good! We will now test your skills with a take-home assignment. It may be a coding exercise, a 30–60–90 day plan you need to prepare, or a simple sales pitch presentation. The aim is to see your thinking process and skills in action when solving some real problems. Usually, you will have a week to complete it and send it back to us for a review. For some roles, we will also schedule a conversation with a couple of team members for you to present your business case. If we are happy with your solution, we will invite you to the last interview round. Otherwise, we will give you detailed feedback on what was missing and what can be improved next time so you can come back stronger.

5. Final interview – The last countdown

Here we are, the last step of the process! Now you are ready to meet the rest of the team. This should be the last step of the process (might consist of a few conversations) where you will be able to meet with all the relevant stakeholders. Our aim is to really understand your skills and impact as well as to answer all your questions, so you can make the best decision, ideally to join us :)

Keep in mind that this process may be different when it comes to manager or executive leadership positions. There might be some differences in the interview process for different roles, but we will inform you about it beforehand.
