BeautyShot app icon

Promo screenshots for Mac apps, the easy way. Capture one window or a stacked composite, switch the app through every language you ship in, and drop it all onto a custom desktop with light + dark renders in one pass.

macOS 13 Ventura or later · Apple Silicon & Intel · Free

LIGHT DARK

What it does

📸

Single window or composite

Capture just one app window for a tight hero shot, or stack multiple windows at their real screen positions for a "here it is in context" composite. Drag to restack, toggle each in or out.

🌍

Every language in one run

Pick the locales you ship in. BeautyShot relaunches the target through each one and saves a separate folder per language — light + dark in each — while you grab a coffee.

🎯

Pixel-perfect canvases

Outputs the standard Mac App Store sizes (2880×1800, 2560×1600, 1440×900, 1280×800), plus Custom and Current. Drop the PNGs straight into App Store Connect or Fastlane.

  • App-Store-clean menu bar with your real menu titles. Apple logo, the app's actual name, real File / Edit / View titles read straight from the running app via Accessibility — and a tidy 9:41 AM clock, full battery, and stock icons stamped on the right. Click the clock chip to pick a specific time; tap the bar-background toggle to drop the fill entirely for marketing shots.
  • Save and load presets. Bundle every look-affecting setting (capture mode, sizes, languages, backgrounds, full menu-bar config) under a name and switch between configurations from the Preset menu. Source state stays per-session, so presets describe the look, not the shot.
  • Menu-bar app preferences are pickable. Accessory apps like menu-bar-only utilities — popovers, floating panels, preferences — show up in the Single Window picker and the Multi Window composite list. The system chrome that runs at the same activation policy (Spotlight, Control Center, Notification Center) is filtered out so the lists stay clean.
  • Center and resize the source window. Half, three-quarters, or full at the press of a tile. BeautyShot uses Accessibility to set the source app to a clean, consistent size before the shot — every screenshot in your set lines up.
  • Mission Control space aware. Capture from any desktop, even when BeautyShot itself is fullscreen on its own space.
  • Drop on any background. Pick your own desktop image (or a solid color) for each mode. Aspect-fills, never squashes. Bundled defaults for an instant good-looking starting point.
  • Group runs. Drop new shots into a previous run's folder for iteration, or start a fresh destination — variant names auto-prefix filenames so nothing gets overwritten.
  • Native and tiny. Pure SwiftUI + AppKit + ScreenCaptureKit. Sparkle auto-updates in the background. No upload-to-cloud, no telemetry.
