Tracking & Analytics
This website uses a minimal, self-hosted tracking system to count views and plays.
We do not use Google Analytics or any other third-party trackers.
We do not store cookies for tracking purposes (only local storage for your progress).
We do not collect IP addresses or any personal data.
"Daily Salt" Method
To count unique visitors while preserving your privacy, we use a "Daily Salt" hashing method.
Your device generates a random ID that is sent to our server. Our server immediately combines this ID
with the current date and a secret "salt", and hashes it (turns it into a random string of characters).
We only store this hash. Because the date is part of the hash, your ID changes every day.
This means we can count how many people visited today, but we cannot tell if you are the same person who visited yesterday.
Video Hosting
Videos are hosted on our own servers. No data is sent to YouTube or Vimeo.
