Environmental Impact This extension is part of the Zero Carbon Email initiative to reduce the environmental impact of email storage. By automatically removing expired emails, we help reduce:

  • Energy consumption from data center storage
  • Carbon emissions from server operations
  • Storage infrastructure requirements

The "Expires" header is currently being standardized through the IETF RFC draft: https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/draft-ietf-mailmaint-expires/ How to Use

  1. Install the extension
  2. Configure your preferences in settings
  3. Choose to delete (trash/permanent) or move expired emails
  4. Select which accounts and folders to monitor
  5. Enable dry run mode to test safely
  6. Let the extension work automatically!
