Google is simplifying email attachments on Gmail. The company is rolling out an update for its email service that will allow you to easily attach emails … to emails. The feature, Google hopes, will eliminate the need for you to constantly forward messages which often leads to messy email chains that are hard to keep track of.

“We’ve heard from you that there are situations where attaching emails makes more sense than forwarding separate emails, like wanting to forward multiple messages related to a single topic. With this new functionality, you can do exactly that. Sending emails as attachments allows you to write a summary email message to your recipients, and attach the set of supporting emails that recipients can directly open in their mail client,” Google wrote in a G Suite blog post.

To be clear, the option for attaching emails has existed on Gmail for a while. However earlier, it required you to manually download emails as .eml files and upload them back again while composing a new one.

The new update gives it an overdue tech upgrade and adds a direct button for forwarding emails as attachments. You’ll find the option inside the three-dot menu located on the right of every email. Alternatively, you can simply drag and drop as many as emails you’d want in the new-email window.

Google says the feature is already live for G Suite business users, and it’s seeing to the rest of us in phases. It’s expected to reach everyone by January 2020. The company hasn’t commented on whether it plans to bring it to Gmail’s Android and iOS apps.

Since Gmail’s last major revamp, Google has been releasing new updates left and right that take advantage of its recent A.I. advancements.

You can now send self-destructing emails, pick from a set of smart responses for quick replies, access other Google services such as Keep and Tasks right from a sidebar, and more. With Smart Compose, Gmail can even predict what you will type next based on your past emails and preferences. Google also made the content inside emails dynamic for compatible services like Docs thanks to the tech it developed for AMP.

This one new Raycast 2.0 feature is driving me mad

Raycast 2.0 is a fantastic update, but this one change has completely broken my workflow.

Raycast 2.0 running on Mac

I have been using Raycast for years, and it is easily one of my favorite Mac apps. It does so much without ever getting in the way, which is exactly what you want from a productivity tool. So naturally, when Raycast 2.0 landed, I updated within minutes.

For the most part, I love all the new features and interface changes that came with the new update. But there is one change that has been quietly annoying me every single day since I updated, and I need to talk about it.

The OLED MacBook Pro is no longer a distant dream, and your display experience is about to get a serious upgrade.

MacBook Pro on Table

I recently wrote an article on why I am excited about the upcoming MacBook Pro. One of the reasons mentioned there was the expected display upgrades, which will include the move to an OLED panel and quite possibly the addition of a touch screen.

It seems that the OLED rumor is almost confirmed. According to TheElec, the OLED panels for MacBook Pro have already entered the mass production phase. Samsung Display has crossed a major manufacturing milestone, achieving a yield of over 90% for its 8.6th-generation OLED panels.

You can now send Codex tasks from your phone even when your Mac is locked

Codex working when Mac is locked

OpenAI's Codex app for Mac just got a major upgrade, and it's the kind that makes you feel like you're living in the future. You can now send Codex a task from your phone, and it will go ahead and use apps on your Mac, even if the screen is off and the computer is locked.

One of the major issues with AI agents like Claude Cowork or OpenAI Codex is that they need your Mac to be unlocked and running for them to work. That’s a major security flaw that will prevent most users from using these features. With its latest Codex update, OpenAI has seemingly fixed this issue.
