Mark Peter Davis, cofounder of Kohort and former associate at DFJ Gotham, has joined High Peaks Venture Partners as Venture Partner.
High Peak Venture Partners has made 25 early stage investments, one of which is Davis' stealth startup, Kohort.
Kohort is a social network for groups. Davis presented it at TechCrunch Disrupt this year and announced a $3 million funding round, but Kohort is still in closed beta.
We don't think Davis is throwing in the towel on Kohort. He says he will do both jobs, and that joining HPVP will be "synergistic and fun." Kohort will remain his top priority, and we're told Kohort is currently hiring to gear up for a big fall.
Davis seems to be pulling a Chris Dixon; he's playing both sides. Dixon manages Founder Collective while running Hunch.
Congrats Mark!
