Let's meet at Délirium Café, Friday night before FOSDEM - just like in old times!
What? 🤔
Before COVID-19 the Friday Beer Event would take place at Delirium Café.The chaotic gathering provided a great way to get to know other FOSDEM attendees who just arrived in Brussels and sample the great variety of Belgian Beers.
When FOSDEM returned after COVID, the beer event did not.
Even without an official event, many hackers would still gather at the old location at Delirium Café, the night before FOSDEM. (It's just a public bar after all)
But with each year, knowledge of the old watering hole faded.
Instead there are now various corporate sponsored events, but those don't capture the free spirited vibe.
Let's change that!
We can just go to Délirium Café, it's a huge place with plenty of space.If it's anything like the previous years, you'll easily find the crowd.

Friday, 30 January 2026 from 19h00 onward.
People likely will be there until the bar closes (well after midnight).

Delirium Village consists of multiple connected bars that take up the entirety of Impasse de la Fidélité/Getrouwheidsgang, a small alley in the heart of Brussels.The 'main bar' is Delirium Café, but each bar serves different beers (on different floors too), so it's worth to move around a bit.
We'll meet at Delirium Insomnia, the bar behind Delirium Taphouse
(you enter via Delirium Café and go towards the back).
Wear your favorite hacker shirt, so it's easy to recognize each other.
FOSDEM does not promote the consumption of alcohol. Délirium also serves non-alcoholic drinks. Only attend the event if you planned on consuming alcohol anyway or if you have no problem with sticking to non-alcoholic options at a very alcohol focused venue.
