Starmer 'sets out his position on Greenland' in call with Donald Trump
Sir Keir Starmer has set out his position on Greenland in a call with US President Donald Trump, Downing Street says. Mr Trump has been vocal about his desire to annex the territory, despite it being part of Denmark - a NATO ally. A spokesman for the prime minister said the call also included a discussion about the interception of the Bella 1 tanker, sometimes called the Marinera, which involved US and UK military forces.

Man serving 23-year sentence for attempted murder absconds from prison
Police are hunting for a man who absconded from prison while serving a 23-year sentence for attempted murder. Kieran Cameron, 43, was reported missing from HMP Thorn Cross, an open prison in Warrington, Cheshire, at 9.20pm on Tuesday, police said. Cameron was jailed for attempted murder in Dorset in 2016.
