What the developers have to say:
Why Early Access?
“High Fidelity is launching in Steam Early Access so we can gather your feedback on the current state of our social VR platform, and on ways it can be shaped in the future to meet the needs of content creators and users.”
Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?
“This depends somewhat on the feedback we receive. However, we anticipate High Fidelity being in Early Access for a few months.”
How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?
“We want to make High Fidelity a welcoming, easy-to-use place for people to hang out, explore, and make stuff. We'll be improving discovery tools to help users locate other users and interesting experiences, Marketplace access and tools for both users and creators, and avatar controls for starters.”
What is the current state of the Early Access version?
“Our beta version of High Fidelity offers a fully functional social VR platform; you can interact with others in VR spaces, and you can also make and host your own VR spaces.”
Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?
“High Fidelity is free and open source, and will remain so after Early Access ends. Enjoy!”
How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?
“We will be watching the feedback we receive here on Steam with great interest. We may also conduct surveys and polls to gather more detailed feedback and data from Steam community members.”
