CURRENT PRODUCTIONS
While researching a role for a feature film, a director and an actor end up continuing the director’s unfinished documentary about our relationship to “the foreign Other” — with help from two other creators, in a country ravaged by war. The hybrid film moves between documentary material, reenactments and fiction.
2028, in an unspecified European country under invasion. Documentary film director Elisabeth tries to highlight the world’s behaviour towards the invaded population by depicting how the local “fixer”, Anna, is treated by the foreigners she assists — an attempt that unravels when Anna turns the gaze of Elisabeth and her crew back on them.

WE ARE OVERLAP
Overlap Productions is run by Milda Rönn and Adam Strömdahl Östberg.
Overlap Productions was established in 2021 as a subsidiary of the research company Praxikon AB. Praxikon, founded in 2009, supports organizations in improving their communication practices using methods from conversation and text analysis. As part of this work, Praxikon produced various types of informational videos. Over time, the company also started making documentary short films and eventually even a full-length fiction film. Ultimately, Overlap Productions was created as a dedicated subsidiary for film production.
