I recently planned a holiday party for StackMob, the company I work for, and had a brilliant idea of building a beer pong table for the event. Once all the VC’s and serious people left we pulled out the beer pong table and started playing. It served as hours amusement late into the night. Here is how I built it:
Supplies:
Folding Sawhorses (or something you can place your table on)
Hand sander
Paint/ Paint Brushes
Paint Roller
A Cup (for tracing purposes)
Pencil
Beer (most important supply)
Step 1:
Setup the piece of plywood on two folding saw horses. Sand the edges of your table so no one gets splinters.

Step 2:
Paint the entire table one base color. I choose a neutral gray color because I wanted to paint images with darker colors on top. You will need to put two or three coats depending on the color you pick. The paint needs about 8 or 9 hours to dry before each coat.

Step 3:
Have fun and paint the entire table however you want. I decided to draw circles where the cups should go.

Step 4:
Give the table personality. Since this was a gift to the StackMob team I wanted to paint the logo on the table. That was the hardest part for me. I tried using paper and cutting out my logo, I tried spray paint but finally decided on using tape and tracing the edges. The logo turned out pretty well.
Step 5:
Let the paint dry.

Step 6:
Have hours of drunken fun. I know I did. :-)
