Free Gamification

We hear gamification is a big part of many startup plans. Here at IActionable, we’ve built a service to help you quickly get gamification incorporated into your site or application. We know startups are usually:

  1. Short on cash
  2. Trying to get more users

We’d like to help with the second point by offering our service for free to startups (which should help a little with the first point, too). Now you can quickly incorporate achievements, points, levels, and leaderboards in your site. We’ll even help you figure out what you should be doing and how to go about it. Depending on the response we may not be able to help everyone, but we’ll do our best.

What kinds of companies are we looking for? We’d like to work with startups that can really use what we offer. It does require integration on your part (we’re primarily a REST based API), so you’ll need some developer resources. If you’re already rather big we may not be able to help you for free, but we’ll work with you to find an agreeable option.

Why are we doing this? We’d like to be able to use you as a reference and example when talking to our bigger prospects. We’d like to help you grow and get lots of funding so you can become a paying customer at some point in the future, too.

Why don’t we offer this as a normal option? We really want to work with startups that at least have aspirations of being big someday. We’ve found when we make offers at low prices we’d get a lot of responses from personal blogs or small sites that didn’t really plan to get any bigger but thought it would be “neat”. It fits our goals better to work with startups that are trying to grow and we feel better about putting resources to work to help startups.

The details Here’s the fine print (actually it’s still regular sized, but you get the idea): We normally charge based on the number of events you write to our system. An event is you telling us that a user did something. We then process that event to see if points should be awarded, achievement progress updated or earned, etc. We will evaluate and make an offer whereby you can use the service for free as long as you are averaging under some number of writes to our system. That number will be determined on a case by case basis. We’ll also give you pricing information so you will know what it would cost once you exceed that.
