“Evan is a dedicated and highly capable software engineer. I worked with Evan during his tenure as Lead Front-End Engineer at AnswerDash where he continuously updated and maintained our AWS-hosted SaaS offering under significant time and budget constraints. Without Evan’s skill, perseverance and passion, we could not have provided such a polished and robust product. At AnswerDash, Evan distinguished himself in several ways: 1.) Evan has a very broad skillset. He has mastered multiple languages and development frameworks, and along with his front-end expertise, he is highly capable in backend development, ops and an impressive number of other technologies. Evan's diverse capabilities proved critical to AnswerDash and will be invaluable to any company. 2.) Evan prioritizes his efforts very well in a constrained environment, ensuring that he delivered the highest value from his efforts at all times. Doing things right is different from doing the right things. Evan exhibits the professional maturity to recognize this difference, and he has the business judgement and technical skills to do both well. 3.) Evan communicates effectively with members of his development and management teams. In AnswerDash’s fast-paced, distributed development environment, keeping all team members synchronized was imperative but often difficult. Evan showed great discipline in communicating frequently and accurately, both orally and in writing, to eliminate ambiguity and enable cohesive teamwork. 4.) Evan is an excellent mentor to junior engineers. He exhibited the time, the knowledge and the empathy to coach fellow developers as they matured in their roles at AnswerDash. Evan is affable, cheerful and knowledgeable making him the obvious choice as a teammate and mentor. Any company developing software will benefit greatly from Evan’s skills, discipline and can-do attitude.”
