After lots of hard work, we’re excited to introduce Fanatical, launching today in private beta.

What is Fanatical?

Fanatical is a software system that makes interactions between companies and people more authentic and helps brands build loyal social media audiences.

Why Fanatical?

We built Fanatical because we want to change the way social media marketers approach their audiences. And because we needed it.

Early on, we had the good fortune to work on some entertainment projects that allowed us to break new ground in the way stars and characters connected with their fans and followers, using personalized one-to-one social media interaction. The fan bases for these shows grew rapidly. And the number of interactions we needed to pay attention to grew exponentially.

We realized we needed a way to consistently recognize and acknowledge our best fans, be responsive to newcomers and stay on guard for saboteurs. Hand-updated fan spreadsheets gave way to a small robot army of search scripts and a mySql database. Thus was the kernel of Fanatical born. 

We quickly discovered that the essential elements of building a social media audience – responsiveness, authenticity, consistency, and attention to building strong relationships with fans – held true across a wide variety of industries.

Our agency, Attention Span, flourished using Fanatical internally and applying the intelligence it provided to build audiences for clients in entertainment, consumer electronics, nonprofits, food and beverages, politics and hospitality.

Now we’re making the power of Fanatical available to marketers and community-builders everywhere.

How Does It Work?

By homing in on the best possible set of fans for each project and facilitating high-quality, personalized interactions, Fanatical helps humanize the way marketers interact with their fans.

Brands' interactions with people don’t have to be canned and disruptive – in fact, we’ve seen time and time again that the most successful messages are organic and thoughtful.

Fanatical allows you to sift through the noise by segmenting fans, followers and keyword mentioners into manageable groups, and by prioritizing fans for outreach according to their proven value – or potential value – to your project or campaign.

When Can I Use It?

Currently, Fanatical is in private beta. We’re working with a select group of companies and industry veterans to iron out any wrinkles before making Fanatical public.
