The fact that the slogan ever existed is revealing.
I have mixed feelings about her story in particular but I do feel bad for her on some level. I can understand how a lot of people who join companies during their impressionable years have gained unhealthy relationships with those companies that has come back to harm them.
The origin of the motto was an engineer simplifying a list of more specific things.
