I’m so sick and tired of AI slop.

I spend all day at my desk talking to LLMs for work.

Then I come on here to escape a little and see what people are working on, and it’s just more LLM text.

Good for you that you built a game engine or a game or whatever this post was about (my eyes glazed over), but come on. Stop wasting our time.

    Author here. It leaves me despondent that I can plough so much time into a project, a game, and a blog post, have someone else find it interesting enough to submit to HN, and then see the first response dismiss it as LLM-generated text—from someone who admits they didn’t even read it. Believe it or not, it wasn’t.

    Hi, author here. I've always used the term postmortem to summarise a project after it has shipped: what worked, what didn't, what was kept, what was thrown out. This post has all that. It's the same use of the term as the many postmortems on gamedeveloper.com etc
