I thought the regular Tesla's were getting mileage data for the taxis.

Inventing a new taxi and throwing away the data is starting over?

Why not taxi the existing supposedly made for self driving cars and utilize their data?

Makes no sense to me. And this big taxi bet reminds me of Ubers identical bet just a few years and billions of dollars ago.

    I was wondering something similar. Then I thought - do the cybercabs have different hardware? If the cameras (and maybe hardware) are different, maybe training on them specifically is required for accurate models.

    for example, maybe having high-resolution cameras or faster processors might lead to slightly different models. And using the right model might be critical to recognition.

That logo looks like Rob-a-taxi and I can't see it any other way.
