Linux with agent support now massively pawns Windows machines out the window. It isn't even comparable.

      Users with less experience in Linux administration can quickly learn and catch up how to set things up. They also help for developing rules for scalable administration tools like Ansible. That would be true for Windows too, but generally Linux does profit much more from this.

      I don't mean giving agents root shell access, but agents still reduce the formerly higher barrier of Linux based systems.

      Experienced admins can integrate a Linux machine in short time, even if its environment is the classic corpo Microsoft Domain Contoller setups. And then make that scale much better than Windows machines.
