Do frontier models matter if most production AI ends up running on open models?

GLM5.2 and the new Kimi model, probably. Some would also put Deepseek4 in that tier.

Kimi-2.7 not really, 2.8 maybe. It's good, but keeps destroying my git commits. And by far not as good as the others
