Canadian government spent $46.8M on a secret Palantir contract
theijf.orgNot wanting to sign up for an account to read the article, but since this is for their military, it wouldn't surprise me if it's for their PRISMA and/or Gotham systems.
There aren't a lot of companies making this type of advanced tech, and definitely no Canadian ones doing it.

The number of CEOs that brag their products are designed to kill people, and used to kill people is pretty limited. How about you pick any company that DOESN'T DO THAT ...
In fact, can we make that a law please?
This isn't terribly surprising. I'm sure the Canadian military has a great many contracts with US military and intelligence companies. Palantir has been around a long time doing military work. It also doesn't seem to be a terribly large contract as far as these things go.
Still, given Palantir's more recent work with ICE and other work with extremely poor ethics, it would be good to see the Canadian military find alternative sources for whatever intel they get from them.
It's not Intel they get, it's like a data analytics platform they rent that ticks all the regulatory boxes but it's consolidating from data sources they already have.
I'm fairly confident nobody would've cared or even known about Palantir if it was still Biden's term. Like how nobody cares what the western neolib blob buys from Israeli tech companies for instance.
Why can't they spend the tax money they collected on secret contracts or however they are fit? It's their money!
Yuck.
