Student Cheating Is Becoming Impossible to Detect in an A.I. Era
nytimes.comIn-person written exams and classwork are really the only solution for this, either handwritten or on dumb devices locked down to only being a word processor.
I always check my students google doc timestamps. 1:50 pm zero words and then 1:51 250 words is always the tell they used ai.

Perhaps read the text? Literally the first paragraph:

and later:
> Autotypers slowly drip words and sentences into documents, making it appear as if papers were typed at a human pace when in fact, they were produced by A.I. They even fabricate typos, deletions and revisions.
This only catches the most naive cheaters.
